It’s loud, it’s easy to dial in, and it’s good enough to bear Eddie Van Halen’s name. The sound is rich, tight and focused, with all the coveted high-gain tube crunch so many players seek out. The construction is as precise and exacting as your typical Van Halen solo. It’ll work for just about anything, but it definitely leans in the rock and metal direction. Perfect for anyone who’s ready to get serious about their tone but doesn’t want or need a 90lb 100W Tube amp.

This EVH 5150 15W 50 LBX head is the little brother in EVH’s extremely popular 5150 line of amplifiers. All the EL84 goodness and saturation you need without breaking your bank or your back. At only around 17 lbs, this 5150 LBX cranks out 15 Watts of all-tube power through a matches set of JJ EL84 Tubes. The preamp shapes your tone using 5 JJ ECC83S’. You have control over Master Volume and Gain as well as Low, Mids and Highs and an overall presence knob. This amp has 2 channels: Crunch (blue) and Full Burn (red). Using the “gain” knob, you can dial in great cleans on the Crunch channel as well as spot-on Classic Rock tones. Use the Full Burn channel to dial your inner Eddie. With a channel called “Full Burn,” you know what to do. The amp comes included with the single button footswitch to switch between the channels.
