The 00-28 (2018) from Martin’s Standard Series Reimagined has a rich, warm musical voice with great note separation, a focused midrange, and a lively presence. This is the epitome of the saying “great things come in small packaged” and we couldn’t agree more. The body shape is extremely comfortable and the notes are still nice and full with plenty of presence.

Strings bend easily and your hand won’t tire quickly thanks to the slightly shorter than average scale length. The neck on this 00 is very cozy. Blues players and country pickers will dig the way it cradles those soulful mid-neck bends, and open position strummers will find that it’s a cinch in the first position. I can’t get over how well this guitar projects. It’s the kind of sound that leaps out of the instrument and gets heard all the way in the back of the room. Put a good mic in front of this axe and you won’t have any trouble getting your message across. A perfect companion for the stage, studio, road, and at home.
