Here’s another gorgeous acoustic-electric from our friends at Takamine! This TSP158C is dressed in a gorgeous See-Thru Red. Red is a fairly unusual color for an acoustic guitar, but it’s an absolutely beautiful one that speaks volumes to how well this guitar plays and sounds. It’s a beautiful mix between the classic build quality and traditions that have made Takamine so great with some cool aesthetics and, in some ways, a modern design ethos to it.

The beautiful finish over the solid spruce top and maple back and sides gives this instrument an awesome aesthetic that is unique among all the average natural-finished acoustics out there without being too over the top or gaudy. The maple body construction and aforementioned spruce is a very resonant and bright combination tonally, as well. The C-shape neck profile is smooth to chord on and is very comfortable in the hand, and the thinner body construction on this model makes it very ergonomic.

Takamine outfitted this guitar with an awesome-sounding CT-IIIN preamp and pickup system for amplified playing. The preamp has a built-in tuner for your convenience (we love acoustics that have this!) as well as a frequency notch for when you’re on-stage and need to cut out that pesky frequency that isn’t playing nice with the acoustics of the room. This feature set really gives you everything you need right on the guitar. Whether you’re playing acoustically, or you need a little more juice to your plugged-in volume and tone, this guitar is ready to go for you!
